Our 17th Annual Holiday Shoe Drive for the Homeless was a huge success. Once again, nearly 1,000 pairs of footwear were collected, for both children and adults, between the White Plains office and the New City office. A special thanks goes out to the following individuals/groups/organizations for being instrumental in helping us collect shoes for the less fortunate:
- Sister Carol of the Dominican Sisters
- Ben’s Barn of Eastchester
- Congregation Shaarei Tikvah of Scarsdale
We have some very exciting news! A new Associate has joined us at Progressive Foot Care, replacing Dr. Gaydar. Please welcome Dr. Marquis Carswell. Dr. Carswell trained at Stony Brook Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. We look forward to working successfully with Dr. Carswell for many years. He will be seeing patients in both offices, in New City, as well in White Plains.
Please watch our brief video about our Shoe Drive recap and about Dr. Carswell, our new Associate:

Speaking of footwear, earlier this month I was quoted in the following publications regarding various types of shoes:
- The best winter boots for women in 2025, tried and tested
- The Foot Pain Price Tag: Are Cheap Shoes Worth the Long-Term Cost?
We wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2025. Taking good care of your feet can be your first step towards good health. Remember, your feet are the foundation for your body.
Yours in good health,
Dr. Bruce Pinker, DPM, AACFAS, FAPWCA, DABPM, FACPM
