Hearts & Minds, to Help You Shine

Happy Valentine’s Day!  February is Healthy Heart Month, reminding us to take good care of our hearts.  One of the best ways to improve your heart health is to exercise.  Regular activity of at least 30 minutes per day for three to four times each week is recommended.  Activity levels can vary, especially for the elderly, so if unsure about the amounts of your exercise, please verify with your primary care physician.

If you regularly see a cardiologist, it’s a great time to make an appointment for an evaluation.  To help you stay active, it’s also important to have your feet examined by a podiatrist.  Keeping your feet in good shape will enable you to walk, jog, run, or engage in other activities that will allow you to exercise and keep your heart healthy and strong.  Although exercise is not the cure for every condition, it can definitely help to support your cardiovascular status and improve your overall physical health to help you shine!

Did you know that your heart beats nearly 100,000 times each day?  It’s beating while you sleep and all throughout your daily activity.  Therefore, it’s extremely important that we take good care of our hearts.  Please watch our brief video for Healthy Heart Month:

We all at Progressive Foot Care wish you a wonderful Valentine’s Day!  Stay healthy and remember to exercise.  Taking good care of your feet can be your first step towards good health. Remember, your feet are the foundation for your body.
