How 2 Choose “Back to School”
Shoes
Selecting proper footwear for our kids can help prevent injury. Children, as well as adults, should wear footwear that is activity-appropriate. For example, wear basketball sneakers while playing basketball (not cleats or running shoes). If playing tennis, wear tennis sneakers (not cross-trainers or fashion sneakers).
On the topic of footwear, our 19th Annual Holiday Shoe Drive for the Homeless will begin in less than two months! Once again, we will be partnering with the United Way of Rockland, as well as the United Way of Westchester and Putnam. Footwear of all types, especially children’s sneakers and boots (gently worn, only, please), can be dropped off at either office location (White Plains or New City) from October 15th – December 15th.
We all at Progressive Foot Care wish you and your family a pleasant summer. Enjoy the beach or the pool, take in a few more sunsets, and spend time with the ones you love. Taking good care of your feet can be your first step towards good health. Remember, your feet are the foundation for your body.
