As we are well into the month of October, it is the time of year when we, at Progressive Foot Care, think about giving back to society. Our 17th Annual Holiday Shoe Drive for the Homeless has begun. We began collecting shoes for the less fortunate in 2008, and we have provided over 20,000 pairs of footwear for those in need.
The purpose of collecting shoes is to help protect the feet of those who may be exposed to the harsh elements of the winter, in an effort to prevent frostbite and other infections in the lower extremities. We have partnered again with The United Way of Rockland, as well as The United Way of Westchester and Putnam.
Please watch our brief video about this year’s 17th Annual Holiday Shoe Drive for the Homeless:

Footwear of all types, especially children’s sneakers and boots, can be dropped off at either office location (White Plains or New City) until December 15th. Please help us to support those in need of footwear.
